Soroptimist International is a worldwide service organization for women in management and the professions, with more than 3,000 clubs in 126 countries or territories. Soroptimist International is now the world's largest classified service organization for women, with each Club representing a wide range of occupations, talents and interests.
Soroptimists work through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. They come from a wide diversity of cultures and circumstances. They are, however, dedicated to a unity of ideals and objects:
- The advancement of the status of women
- High ethical standards
- Human rights for all
- Equality, development and peace through international goodwill and understanding and friendship
